This 40th annual event is organised by LDWA members and other local walkers and is open to all, including runners and orienteering groups.

This year's walk will take place on Sunday 12 September 2010

The aim is to complete a distance of 26 miles on foot within a time limit of 9 hours. The event is not a race but each successful participant will receive a certificate which can be collected at the finish.

The start and finish is at Lane End Village Hall (GR807918). Participant parking is on Lane End Industrial Estate (GR808917)
